Special topics: Relief-Print Your Own Wrapping Paper Tuesdays in December 2/12, 9/12, 16/17, 23/19, 30/12 6-8 PM

During this Two week, Tuesday & Thursday evening class. (4 days, 2-3 hr evening classes) you will learn the basics of free hand and traditional press Relief printing to make fun hand printed wrapping paper, perfect for the holidays!

You will learn the ins and outs of Relief printing with linoleum blocks, designing and cutting your blocks, inking, and printing either free hand or with a professional relief print press!

You will receive hands on education as the instructor Thayer Bray will take you step by step through the Design, block cutting, and printing processes

At the end of the class you will have hand-printed wrapping paper sure to impress , all that you made yourself!

Evening 1 : Introduction, Design and cut your linoleum blocks, strategize printing patterns

Evening 2 : proofing and printing- troubleshooting- learning to work with ink and print.

Evening 3: More Printing! use what you learned the previous week to experiment and dig down into more printing, patterning, and colors!

Evening 4: collect your prints, feedback and celebration!

This Workshop is $80+$20 lab fee. Lab fees pay for tools and materials. feel free to bring your own paper,

This class is well suited to younger learners!

*This class requires moderate hand strength and a dexterity.
