During this four week, Wednesday evening class. (4 days, 3 hour evening classes) you will explore monoprinting. There are so many ways to monoprint, but this course will specifically focus on painterly prints.

This class will be taught by Regan Chrisman Boman who has been printmaking for 9 years and researching, making, and teaching monoprints for the last 3 years.

Students will learn basic knowledge of painterly prints, monotypes and monoprints while exploring offset stencils, ink flats, and direct drawing and painting on plexi.

This might sound in depth but this process is perfect for students of all levels and is very beginner friendly. If you can color with a crayon, paint with a brush and use a pair of scissors, you monoprint!

At the end of the class you will have a varied edition of one of a kind hand-pulled prints.

Tools and Materials provided but I do encourage bringing a sketchbook for a place to brainstorm and keep notes.

Evening 1: Demonstration of monoprint processes/materials/tools. Start prepping stencils.

Evening 2: Stencil preparation. (These prints come together like a collage, so this night we will spend gathering all of the pieces to make the prints)

Evening 3: Finishing up our stencils and then it's time to PRINT! We will spend the evening taking turns on the press to create our prints.

Evening 4: All night printing! We will spend the evening taking turns on the press to create our prints. After we are done printing we can celebrate and look at our amazing prints together.

FEE- $75 plus $50 material fee. TOTAL $125
